The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is establishing a workgroup focused on solid waste facility issues under the umbrella of our Solid Waste Advisory Committee. This workgroup will provide a public forum for discussing capacity, permitting, and operational issues related to solid waste facilities in Massachusetts. This will be the kickoff meeting for the group. It is a public meeting and anyone is welcome to participate. MassDEP expects to hold several meetings of this group during 2023. A more specific agenda will follow later in December.
