Closing the Year with Results: RecyclingWorks MA Annual Report Highlights
RecyclingWorks MA is pleased to publish the improved 2025 Annual Report. Every year, Recycling Works MA publishes a report that details the impacts of outreach, technical assistance, hotline assistance, presentations, resources, and more. This year’s goal was to create a more visual document while also highlighting our extensive activities from the previous year.
Notable achievements from the Fiscal Year 2025:
- In-person or virtual technical assistance provided to 300 businesses
- 57% more businesses served than in FY24
- 1,579 tons of material diverted from disposal
- 730 tons coming from wasted food/organics diversion
- 2,028 total phone and email hotline inquiries
- 11% more hotlines than FY24
- Over 215,000 visits to RecyclingWorksMA.com
- New Instagram launch reaching over 2,600 people
- 724 new newsletter subscribers
- Media coverage at larger publications, including The New York Times and The Boston Globe
- 40+ speaking engagements and/or events
- Several new publications, including the Best Management Practices for Reusable Takeout Containers (BMP), Implementation Guide, and Reusables Resource List.
RecyclingWorks MA provides no-cost technical assistance to help businesses and institutions improve their waste reduction, recycling, food recovery, and diversion programs. We also recognize that our waste diversion impact is made possible by the many service providers who specialize in donation, reduction, reuse, and diversion of recyclable or banned materials, and collection or processing of food scraps for composting, animal feed, or anaerobic digestion.
