Infinite Herbs and Specialties is a distributor of culinary herbs. Their packaging facility in Everett trims, packages, and ships herbs received in bulk from their production facilities.

Infinite Herbs worked with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and RecyclingWorks in MA to set up organics collection to comply with the Commercial Food Waste Disposal Ban.

Infinite Herbs changed their hauling service to include a separate dumpster for organics. RecyclingWorks provided staff training on source separation of the herb scraps from their trash stream. Now each worker at the distribution facility has a separate container to collect herb scraps. RecyclingWorks provided Infinite Herbs with bilingual customized posters to label which materials to place in the different waste collection bins. These posters help train new processing workers as well as the staff that moves the trash and organic waste to the dumpsters outside.

As a result of their organics collection program, Infinite Herbs now sends more than two tons of food scraps to a compost facility each week.
