RecyclingWorks in Massachusetts is hosting a no-cost Practical Skills Compost Workshop with emphasis on composting food materials. This half-day workshop will focus on operator competency in compost site management, in-field operations, and recipe development.
This workshop is geared towards:
• Food materials composting operations registered with MDAR or MassDEP
• Municipal or small-scale site operators either currently accepting or considering accepting food materials
• Other interested parties considering starting a compost site and accepting off-site food materials
The workshop will be led by James McSweeney of Compost Technical Services and Greg Smith from Town of Needham Department of Public Works. All interested parties are encouraged to register but priority will be given to compost site operators in Massachusetts that are currently accepting food materials or planning to begin accepting food materials.

For those who participate in the US Composting Council Certified Compost Operations Managers (CCOM™) or the Certified Composting Professionals (CCP™) programs, you can earn 4 Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits for attending this workshop.
