The next meeting of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s (MassDEP) Reduce & Reuse (R&R) Working Group is scheduled for 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29. The topic of this meeting is Creating a Culture of Reuse in MA.

The R&R workgroup is seeking input from MA businesses, institutions, and nonprofits interested in reuse to learn how we can make reuse more convenient, accessible, and mainstream. Topics for this meeting include reducing unnecessary packaging, repairing items when they break, finding new homes for unwanted goods, and opting to share, borrow or rent items rather than own products. During this discussion, MassDEP will share out what we’ve heard from Reduce & Reuse advocates so far and invite participants to share additional barriers and strategies that the R&R workgroup should consider as part of our ongoing Reduce & Reuse (R&R) Strategic Planning process.
