Join the Climate Collaborative’s December webinar as they examine the intersection of food waste policy and business practices at the national, regional, state, and municipal levels. Learn how businesses can be involved in shaping new policies and designing the industry response these policies inspire!

  • The Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic will guide us through existing and emerging national food waste policies in areas such as donation liability protections, tax incentives, organic landfill restrictions & waste recycling laws, including related financial incentives.
  • The Center for EcoTechnology will discuss the growing trend of regional and state level restrictions on landfilling food scraps and other organic material and highlight how businesses in the Northeast have responded to these policies through infrastructure improvements to common food waste mitigation practices (i.e. donations) as well as new innovations like a food de-packaging facility!
  • The Natural Resources Defense Council will highlight emerging innovations in food waste policy at the municipal level and share how businesses can catalyze their customers to waste less food through the national SaveTheFood campaign.

Note:Ā If unable to attend live and ask questions of our presenters, a recording will be available on the Climate Collaborativeā€™sĀ Media and Resources Page after the webinar.
