Founded in 1985, the Donations Clearinghouse (DCH) is a simple and unique furniture program that provides donated items of furniture and household goods, free of charge, to families and individuals moving out of shelter to permanent housing, victims of fire, those fleeing domestic violence, DCF reunification cases, and elders at risk. You can donate by calling 774-243-3805; please leave a clear message with your name, phone number, location, as well as list of items you wish to donate, and someone will get back to you within 48 business hours. Your furniture donation and monetary contributions (excluding service fees) are tax deductible, to be determined by you and your tax accountant. Items donated must be in good, clean, gently used condition. Due to potential liability issues we can not take donations that are torn, stained, soiled, or broken. A list of items we take, those currently not accepted, as well as a breakdown of our pickup schedule, can be found on our website.

Donations limited to kitchen tables and chairs, buffets/hutches (no glass doors or shelves), small cabinets, living room chairs, sofas, and loveseats (no pull-out beds or futons), coffee and end tables, small bookshelves, small TV stands, lamps, bureaus, dressers with mirrors, nightstands.

The Center for EcoTechnology (CET) and MassDEP host this list to help businesses find recycling service providers. Listings are self-reported and do not imply a recommendation or endorsement by CET or MassDEP.
