A Designers DreamA Renovator’s ParadiseA Restorer’s Haven…Restoration Resources is regarded as New England’s premier source for salvaged architectural antiques, unique artifacts, vintage furnishings, and unusual gifts. Owner Bill Raymer carefully handpicks and “rescues” these gems from notable period buildings throughout New England that are undergoing renovation or demolition, and then artistically displays his finds in a well organized, 7000 sq. ft. retail showroom and warehouse located in Boston’s historical South End. Residential AND Commercial customers alike rely upon Restoration Resources for the store’s treasure trove of ornately carved Mantels, beautiful Stained Glass Windows, ornate Mirrors, unusual Statuary, Garden Accents, period Lighting, original Hardware, Building Materials and Ornamental Elements. The unique antiques make a statement in any style home, garden, restaurant, office, business, or event, and also make one of-a-kind gifts that are truly authentic Boston souvenirs!

The retail store and warehouse was just recently featured in the Boston Globe, April 26, 2018 in the article, "Recycling Boston's History One Piece at a Time". Besides being green, and eco-friendly, these salvaged treasures are coveted for their unique beauty, history, craftsmanship, and overall quality of materials. The vintage pieces can be used conventionally to add period authenticity to an antique property, or character and charm to a more modern design scheme, while the growing trend is to creatively re-purpose salvaged finds into completely different and “new” functional pieces.

Restoration Resources has appeared on HGTV, This Old House, Ask This Old House, The Nate Berkus Show, A&E, Chronicle, NECN, Spike TV, and DIY Network. It has also been featured in over 25 publications, including Better Homes and Garden, Old House Interiors, Old House Journal, the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, and New England Home magazine. A winner of Improper Bostonian’s, “Boston’s Best” as well as 2 time recipient of Boston Magazine’s, “Best of Boston Home”, Restoration Resources has been touted by the media as “A one of a kind shopping emporium”, a “destination must” and “amongst this historic city’s best". While the retail store is the core business, Restoration Resources also is sought out as 1) A Prop Rental Source for art directors, photographers, event planners, and production houses (including more than 25 Hollywood movies) 2) A Set Location for models, photographers, and films 3) A Unique Function Space for events, cocktail receptions, parties, and meetings and 4) An Architectural Recycling Center for homeowners and contractors.

The Center for EcoTechnology (CET) and MassDEP host this list to help businesses find recycling service providers. Listings are self-reported and do not imply a recommendation or endorsement by CET or MassDEP.
