Berkshire Bounty is a 501(c)(3) food rescue organization with the mission to provide local food distribution organizations with nutritious food to mitigate food insecurity throughout Berkshire County Massachusetts.

Using registered volunteers, donated food is collected through a network of retailers and distributed to organizations that directly serve the community including food pantries, public schools, senior centers and community centers. In addition, Berkshire Bounty uses a significant percentage of their funding to purchase nutritious food including meat, dairy, eggs, fresh produce and culturally appropriate items to build capacity and improve the quality of food choices in our partner distribution sites. In 2021, Berkshire Bounty collected over 400,000 lbs of nutritious food, the equivalent of over 340,000 meals for the local food insecure community. The organization purchased a total of $193,113 worth of nutritious food.
