RecyclingWorks in Massachusetts is hosting a no-cost Practical Skills Compost Workshop with an emphasis on composting food materials. This workshop will focus on compost site monitoring and troubleshooting and is geared towards:

• Operators of agricultural, municipal, and private compost sites that accept off-site food materials
• Operators of small-scale sites that accept off-site food scraps, such as community garden compost sites
• Other interested parties considering starting a commercial compost site and accepting off-site food materials

The workshop will be led by James McSweeney of Compost Technical Services and Adam Martin from Martin’s Farm Compost and Mulch. Registration is required. Priority will be given to Massachusetts compost site operators that are currently accepting food materials or planning to begin accepting food materials.

For those who participate in the US Composting Council Certified Compost Operations Managers (CCOM™) or the Certified Composting Professionals (CCP™) programs, you can earn 3 Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits for attending this workshop.
