MassDEP will hold a C&D Subcommittee meeting from 10 am – 12 noon on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at its Boston office (1 Winter Street – Downtown Crossing).

The specific agenda items will vary, but the main theme for 2019 is development of the C&D Action Plan that will be incorporated into the Solid Waste Master Plan that will be circulated in draft form for public comment toward the end of the calendar year.

The main theme for 2019 is development of the C&D Action Plan that will be incorporated into the 2030 Solid Waste Master Plan. MassDEP is planning to complete a draft of the SWMP for internal review by next summer with the goal of circulating the draft version for public comment before the end of the calendar year. In line with this roadmap, the next C&D Subcommittee meeting will cover the following topics:

• Review of CY2017 C&D annual report data
• C&D Action Plan ideas and suggestions – refine the ideas and suggestions that will be committed to writing in the draft plan.
• Recycling Business Development Grant Program (RBDG) – solicit suggestions for a target C&D material.
